Infinite Consulting Corp. (Infinite) provided cost estimating services to support the development of a Program Report for the renovation and conversion of an existing school building in Cleveland, NY for use as a Training Academy for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Division of Law Enforcement and Division of Forest Protection. Infinite’s staff worked closely with the prime consultant and owner to review, clarify, refine, and finalize all work leading to the recommended plan, developing alternatives, and detailed analyses, if required. Estimates were provided for multiple options and alternates to allow the client to consider all of their options and make a decision on how they want to move forward.
The project was broken up into five separate contracts–Construction (C), Electrical (E), Mechanical (H), Plumbing (P), and Fire Suppression (N)–to satisfy Wick’s Law requirements. The scope covered the demolition of an existing school’s interior and its reconstruction into a training academy. Total estimates ranged between $19 million and $23 million depending on the option selected.
